One of the latest in the “Tales of” series, Tales of Xillia marks an entirely new look and tone from previous Tales games. Where Tales of Graces f had a more water color look to it and generally more light hearted more often than not. This game seems to lend itself to more darker tones, not just in color and style, but with the story itself. This game has been on the radar since Tales of Graces released in America when Xillia was already being released in Japan. This game received stellar reviews from Famitsu (a leading Japanese gaming publication) and is the most successful Tales game to date. The title has also spawned a sequel that’s also received rave reviews.
Stateside this game has received a lot of attention the closer we get to August when this game releases and publisher Atlus can do no wrong in many JRPG fans’s eyes. Well except for that Game of Thrones video game adaptation, but they made up for it with Persona 4 Golden. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think!
