Say what you will about their weak live action movie stable, but DC Entertainment has been on a role in the animated movies department! Just about everything they release is solid gold. From Justice League Doom to Superman vs. The Elite, they just keep firing on all cylinders and it looks like they plan to continue with Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox! This is the adaptation of the major crossover series that gave birth to DC Comic’s New 52 overhaul. Here’s blurb on the story below.
“When time travel allows a past wrong to be righted for the Flash and his family, the event’s temporal ripples prove disastrous, creating a fractured, alternate reality where the Justice League never formed, and Superman is nowhere to be found. Amidst a new world being ravaged by a fierce war between Wonder Woman’s Amazons and Aquaman’s Atlanteans, Flash must team with a grittier, more violent Batman and government agent Cyborg to restore the continuity of Flash’s original timeline.”
This movie is packed with star talent in just about every role. With Nathon Fillion (Castle, Firefly) returning as Green Lantern, Ron Perlman (Sons of Anarchy, Pacific Rim) as Deathstroke, Cary Elwes as Aquaman (Saw, Princess Bride) and Kevin McKidd (Brave, Grey’s Anatomy) as Flashpoint Batman it’s certain they took the voice acting more seriously than they already do. And thats just the beginning! Justin Chambers, Michael B. Jordon, C. Thomas Howell, Dana Delany, Vanessa Marshall, Danny Huston, Sam Daly and Kevin Conroy will all be in tow as well, some playing the roles they made famous in previous animated ventures!
Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox will arrive on DVD and Blu-ray on July 30, 2013.
