Jason Statham is buckled in for Fast & Furious 7!

It was only a matter of time before Jason Statham wound up being cast in yet another movie where he’s a driver, transporter, mechanic, or anything else to do with a car… but at least this time its something that might actually be entertaining. Months ago Statham was rumored to be involved with a future Fast & Furious movie, but neither himself OR Universal would step forward and say “yay” or “bullshit”. Now Michelle Rodriguez, who plays Letty in the films, says he’s in for Fast & Furious 7! She was quoted —

“Jason Statham, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, when you see these guys in a room you know they belong together… You can see in there eyes they’ve gone through a lot… I applaud Universal for getting him on-board!”

Now I’m not saying she’s the authority on this, but I’m sure if it wasn’t true Universal would have said something by now, but hey… I’m sold. If Statham is going to make a career out of being in “car movies” then by all means be in THESE car movies! No word on who he’s playing though originally they hinted during the aforementioned rumors months back that he’d be playing the brother of Luke Evan’s character (Owen Shaw) in the upcoming Fast 6 film.

Any Fast/Furious fans? What do you think about this news?
